Want to learn more about various journals? Do you find yourself searching for information that goes beyond duotrope stats (<3 you duotrope), prestige/competitiveness ranking, or that pokes at what “surpise us” might mean for a particular publication? Trying to figure out which journals you want to invest in wallet-wise?

This is my attempt to fill that need. I intend to keep this page as a free passion project. I’m a poet — not a known one. No qualifications besides that I love/hate writing and love/love reading.

I’ll come up with a theme for whatever journal, online publication, or press that comes to my attention with a new release. I’ll pick a favorite piece to talk about, and then I’ll connect that piece to what the masthead states it is interested in.

My reviews are intended to be a celebration of literary spaces and the writers contained in them as well as a way to think about curation from the sidelines.
